Enermax extends its flagship series Platimax to the new Platimax D. F.

The 80Plus Platinum certified PSU series is equipped with the patented DFR ™ (Dust Free Rotation) technology. The DFR ™ technology, after starting the PSU, lets the fan spin reverse for 10 seconds at full speed to remove accumulated dust from the fan blades. After 10 seconds the fan returns to normal operation. This process will grant a cleaner and long lasting PSU.

Up to a workload of 80%, the fan rotates at constant 550RPM. With a maximum speed of 1000 RPM, the almost inaudible fan grants an extremely silent operation.

The fully-modular PSU comes with individually sleeved cables (SLEEMAX™) offering further protection and the highest flexibility for system installation. Additionally, the CPU power cable has been extended to 70 cm for an easier assembly.

This high-end PSU line is available in 500W and 600W and is the perfect solution for core gamers and graphic workstations.

Platimax D. F. is the successor of the award winning Platimax series. The patented technology DFR ™ allows the fan to remove automatically the dust from the fan blades. After starting the PSU, the fan spins in reverse at full speed removing all the dust. After that it will shift back to the normal operation mode.

The Platimax D.F. is equipped with individual sleeved cables (SLEEMAX™) for comfortable cable management and higher safety.
The SLEEMAX3 cables come with cord organizers (included in the packaging) to ensure perfect looking cable management.

Patented Twister Bearing Technology
The bearing shaft is fixed to the rotor. When you turn the fan on, a small magnet inside the bearing holds the shaft in position. The convex surface of the base reduces the frictional resistance and ensures a quiet and smooth fan rotation. The sleeve is made from a self-lubricating material and prevents the bearing from draining and corrosion. That way, Enermax guarantees an exceptionally long lifetime of 160,000 hours (MTBF). Another useful feature of the Twister fans is the “Click Mechanism”. By pressing the rear side of the blades, you can detach the rotor and clean it from dust. Put it back on the base and press it down until you hear a “click”.

At the back of Platimax D.F. 750W, 850W, 1050W and 1200W power supply, an additional switch is installed. This D.F. Switch allows to manually activate the DFR™ mode of the fan. This prevents the dust from being accumulated on the fan. Using the DFR™ technology users can prevent the dust from being blown into the power supply. This prolongs the lifespan of the product and ensures stable operation all time.

Platimax D.F. 750W, 850W, 1050W and 1200W use the smart semi-fanless control to ensure silent operation. Platimax D.F. 750W and 850W operate fanless until a system load of 40%. Platimax D.F. 1050W and 1200W guarantee ultra-silent operation until a system load of 30%. Exceeding these limits, the power supply fan starts to spin and will be regulated according to the system load and temperature.
