Product Introduction
The ETS-T40F series is suitable to all kind of systems thanks to its space-saving design and has a perfect balance between cooling performance and noise level. The slim heatsink doesn’t interfere with the RAM slots and allows the installation of high end modules. Innovative technologies such as the Vortex Generator Flow (VGF) and the Vacuum Effect Flow (VEF) ensure optimum airflow and efficient cooling. The ETS-T40F coolers can support a TDP up to 200 watts. Enermax offers three versions with different Twister-fans: the ETS T40F-TB with the popular TB Silence PWM 12cm fan, the ETS-T40F-BK with the blue LED fan TB Apollish PWM 12cm fan and finally the ETS-T40F-RF with the new 14-cm-winglet fan.
Heatsink

Vortex Generator Flow (VGF) - patented Vortex generators are applied in aviation industry. They make sure that the air stream is lead as close as possible along the airplane’s wings. During the CPU cooler development, the Enermax engineers recognized the potential of this technology to optimize the air stream inside the heat sink: Small spoilers on the fins, the so-called Vortex generators, conduct the air close along the heat pipes. Much more fresh air can be transferred to the back of the heat pipes.
Vacuum Effect Flow Also this invention from ENERMAX makes use of a physical effect. The best example to explain this effect is a moving car: It pushes air aside as it goes down the road and leaves a low pressure. Air from the sides will be sucked in to compensate the difference in pressure. According to that, the CPU cooler sides are not fully closed, so that cool air can be sucked into the heat sink.
Heat Pipe Direct Touch - patented Heat Pipe Direct Touch means that the heat pipes rest directly on the CPU. It has the unquestionable advantage against a base plate, that it transfers the heat effectively without any additional resistance straight to the heat pipes.
Patented Twister Bearing Technology The bearing shaft is fixed to the rotor. When you turn the fan on, a small magnet inside the bearing holds the shaft in position. The convex surface of the base reduces the frictional resistance and ensures a quiet and smooth fan rotation. The sleeve is made from a self-lubricating material and prevents the bearing from draining and corrosion. That way, Enermax guarantees an exceptionally long lifetime of 160,000 hours (MTBF). Another useful feature of the Twister fans is the “Click Mechanism”. By pressing the rear side of the blades, you can detach the rotor and clean it from dust. Put it back on the base and press it down until you hear a “click”.
Winglet Blades (only ETS-T40F-RF) ETS-T40F-RF comes with a new fan development from ENERMAX: The Winglet 14cm fan is designed for a low-noise operation. The special Winglet shape of the blades avoids the formation of noisy air turbulences and reaches a higher air flow rate than a fan with a standard blade design.
Patented Circular LED Light (only ETS-T40F-BK) The ETS-T40F-BK is equipped with a blue T.B.Apollish LED fan. ENERMAX' patented LED technology creates striking light effects and achieves extraordinary bright colours. The LED ring is made of 12 blue diodes.
