Warranty Terms

Enermax Warranty Terms

1. General warranty conditions

1.1. Manufacturer`s warranty coverage
Generally Enermax products are guaranteed to operate as specified by their datasheet and in the operating environment for which they were designed to. Enermax guarantees its customers that purchased products, which are covered by the respective warranty, to be free from material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not affect the statutory warranty claims, but justifies additional, separate claims against Enermax (so called manufacturer`s warranty). The Enermax manufacturer warranty does not cover possible transportation costs to the responsible service partner or the Enermax customer support facilities.

1.2. Warranty service
Service will be done in the form, that parts which have defects in material and workmanship, in spite of adequate treatment and attention to the instructions for use, on our option will be repaired or exchanged. Alternatively we reserve the right to replace the defective unit or defective component by a successor product. Replaced devices are transferred to our property. All RMA returns will be tested by Enermax upon return. If the part is not faulty according to Enermax’s test, it may be shipped back to you without any service, or it may be replaced with an equivalent used or repaired part. Alternatively, Coolergiant reserves the right to exchange the defective device or the defective component for a successor product or to repay the purchase price minus a usage fee.

1.3. Warranty validity
The warranty is valid only for end users (consumers), who bought the original Enermax product from an authorized dealer within the UK. The warranty cannot be transferred to another owner (first occupancy). Service for used bought products without an invoice will be rejected strictly. The warranty has to be claimed at the original dealer or responsible service partner. In case the original dealer does not exist anymore, please contact the Enermax customer support. The end user bears the costs for the return of the defective products to the dealer or service partner.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase shown on the original invoice (initial purchase by consumers at authorized Enermax dealer). Neither warranty service does cause an extension of the original warranty period, nor does it start a new guarantee. The warranty period for installed spare parts ends with the warranty period for the device.

2.1. Power supplies

The statutory warranty period for manufacturers and dealers in UK amounts to 1 year from the purchase date. Enermax provides additional 2 years manufacturer warranty for power supplies only. Overall customers get a full warranty period of 3 years. Exceptional cases: Enermax issues 5 years manufacturer warranty for selected premium PSU series.

2.2. Cases, peripherals and enclousures
The statutory warranty period for manufacturers and dealers in UK amounts to 1 year from the purchase date. Enermax provides no additional warranty for cases, peripherals and enclosures. Overall customers get a full warranty period of 1 year.

3. RMA Procedure for End-customers

  • Check your invoice and purchasing date (if you do not have any invoice, no service is provided)
  • Please ask your dealer to organize the RMA service.
  • If your dealer does not exist anymore, due to bankruptcy etc, please contact the ENERMAX Support Team.

4. Warranty Requirements and Exclusion

  • Original invoice or copy of invoice including purchasing date, model name and complete company data of the dealer including the tax number or VAT ID is indispensable and has to be included when sending in for RMA service. The information provided must be complete and clearly readable. All RMA requests without original invoice or copy of invoice will be rejected.
  • Product has to be within 1 year warranty period since purchasing date (cases, peripherals, enclosures) or within 3 years warranty period (power supplies only).
  • Enermax product has to be purchased within United Kingdom as a new product.
  • Warranty period cannot be transferred to another owner.
  • Warranty is immediately lost, when the product is opened, modified or manually damaged.
  • If the device is damaged or destroyed through the influence of force majeure or by environmental factors (moisture, heat, electric shock, overvoltage, dust, and so on) no warranty can be given.
  • Warranty cannot be claimed for PSUs that have been used outside of the technical specification (for example: mining).
  • Warranty cannot be claimed if the PSU was used in improper operation, including any use that is not in accordance with any supplied product instructions.
  • Warranty cannot be claimed for wear and tear associated with normal use.
  • Warranty cannot be claimed for damage to the device or connected hardware if you do not use the cables, which are supplied together with the power supply. Replacement cables, which are recommended by the ENERMAX support are excluded from this provision.
