QUAD SHUNT CHANNEL (QSC)

Conventional Micro-Fin Structure

When the coolant enters the micro-fin channels, a part of the liquid will form a continuously growing laminar flow layer on the metal fins. It will obstruct the passage through the fins and alloy the heat dissipation.

 

Enermax Micro-Fin Structure with Quad-Shunt-Channel

The clue: The cold plate design has been improved by adding four shunt channels. At the right position, these shunts minimize the boundary layer effect. The coolant can absorb more heat and the cooler achieves a much better cooling performance.

TRI-COOLING MODE

To achieve the maximum cooling performance, the fans of liquid coolers run with a higher speed and accordingly generate more noise. But depending on the system configuration and load, it is not always necessary to speed the fans up to the limit. Therefore, Enermax has invented a special 3-mode PWM control. With a small switch at the fan back, users can choose the adequate cooling mode for their system.

TWISTER BEARING TECHNOLOGY

Enermax delivers the liquid coolers with the very popular Twister bearing fans. The functional principle of the patented bearing technology is quite simple: Magnetic force keeps the fan blades on the shaft. Between the shaft and the bearing base exists only a small point of contact, so that the fan runs smooth and almost frictionless. The bearing sleeve is lifetime-lubricated and protects against abrasion. That way, Enermax guarantees a long-lasting operation of minimum 100,000 hours MTBF and a persistently silent fan rotation.
